As with last yearsUltraman Zero the movie, Tsuburaya is creating a side story movie to accompany the currently untitled third Ultraman Zero film due out this December. The side story movie, titled: Ultraman Zero Gaiden: Killer the Beatstar, will be released in two parts. The same as last years Ultraman Zero vs Darclopse Zero film. Part one, Steel Universe will be released in November. Part two, The Promise of Meteor, in December right before the theatrical movie’s launch.
The story will feature Zero fighting a being called Jean Killer. Killer is akin to the Ultra like characters introduced in the Zero film, Glen Fire, Mirror Knight and Jean Bolt. No word on full story yet, or how it connects to the upcoming film. I enjoy the Darclopse Zero movie, actually a bit more than the Zero film. Zero the moviehad a lot going for it, and while not bad, became kinda muddled in what appeared to be a lot of set up, with a so so pay off in the end. Hopefully this new film doesn’t repeat that mistake.
