Vocaloid is blowing up people! With Hatsune Miku, the greatest virtual idol ever, coming to the U.S. in less than a months time, Viz decided that it would be in every one’s best interest to keep her here. For a while at least Viz will be distribution all things Miku related. Music, figures, books and more. If the Anime Expo performance goes well, (and assume that it will) then that will mean that other people who can’t make it out to L.A. this 4th o f July weekend might get a chance to see the Vocaloid idol across the country later this year or early next.
Miku is already huge in Japan, and the soft were that creates her magical voice, Vocaloid, is slowly gaining popularity over here. For those who doubt or scoff at the idea of a virtual pop idol, wake up. Every shitty singer working today barley works on their own music, let alone sings live at their concerts. Cut out the middle man bullshit, add a singer that never ages or messes up, and you got the future baby! Embrace it! Love it!
