To continue the theme of short films being made into feature films, Rare Exports, based on a 2003 and it’s 2005 follow up told the REAL story of Santa Clause.

It proved a huge viral success, especially for a Finnish film. So with the success of the shorts, director/writer Jalmari Helander decided to turn it into a full length film, that looks like it’s harking back to the darker fantasy films of the 80’s.
Well, Rareexportsmovie.com has released a new clip that gives you that feeling of pure 80’s fucked up greatness.

I love the concept that Santa isn’t a jolly guy who rides around in a magical sled, but a whole different species that is hunted down and trained only to be shipped to different countries around the world to give out toys to all the little boys and girls on Christmas Eve. Fucking Brilliant!
