If you didn’t know I’m a huge Walking Dead fan, let me clarify though I didn’t start reading the books until the series debut but now i’m invested in the series and the bo
oks so knock me if you will i keep it honest. As as come to read the books I love the direction they are and the whole other direction they went with the show. That being said Thursday news hit that David Morrissey (to the right) will be playing the villain known as The Governor who was I think one of the major villains in the book. Since I have not gotten that far in the book series here’s what I can say that this will be the first bad guy that Rick and group will face, comic creator Robert Kirkman says:
don’t expect the show to tone down the character – “The Governor in the show is definitely going to be The Governor in the show. I think that he’s definitely going to be a character that people love to hate and are absolutely entertained by, but also somewhat terrified of. He’s definitely going to be a very important character and a very nuanced character. We are not going to be watering him down.”
I’m actually glad to hear this, although all I can say is that is Kickman’s saying AMC can always go the other way with it but lets hope not. With The Governor coming in and Michonne joining as well I am excited to see what will happen this season.
