Yes, on this day, 18 years ago, Saban debuted the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on Fox Kids. The show would go on to become a massive hit with the kids and a inspire a whole generation. Millions of dollars in toys, food, video games and God only knows what else was sold by this imported show that took all of the cool killing elements from it’s Japanese source and made it a viable American children’s show.
So, here’s to you Power Rangers, Keeping your way to 20!
